Breuer / Bratti Residence

Location Westport, CT

Built by Marcel Breuer in 1950 for his own family, this Bauhaus classic was adapted to meet the aspirations of new owners. Wood ceilings and blue stone floors added warmth and character to the original minimalist palette. A bedroom wing for the children, a family / music room as well as a swimming pool with cabana / guest house, extended the composition of planar stone walls in context to the building as well as the site.
