Woods Pond Estate

Location Dutchess County, NY

Planned as the centerpiece of a 40 acre arboretum designed to display idealized plant habitats of the middle United States through central Canada, this 70,000 SF residential compound draws reference from the great mansions of the Hudson River Valley and the tradition of shingle-style architecture in New England. The complex consists of a three story main building flanked by two one story pavilions. The central building houses major public functions on the east pavilion is a natatorium / spa connected by an indoor garden. Designed for entertaining, the west pavilion contains an octagonal two story library on the main level and a 10,000 SF state of the art recording studio with guitar museum below. The lower level also features a complete health club including indoor basketball court, exercise rooms, locker and spa facilities as well as a children’s rumpus area.
